A short, side-scroller arcade bullet hell experience where your greatest enemy is... well... you!

Controls:

Cursor to move
Left click to shoot

You move, enemy moves. You shoot, enemy shoots.

Top bar is a countdown. When you shoot you stall the countdown. If it reaches 0 you ded lol

Bottom bar is your energy. Shoot the plasma orbs to get energy and fill up the bar. Once its filled you can actually hit the enemy for a bit.

Green stuff is health.

Controls (With Lore):

You are a space cadet in the employ of the Intergalactic Fleet, and are part of a division that investigates and resolves temporal-spatial anomalies. A particularly dangerous rift has opened up near your headquarters, and since your division is woefully understaffed they have no choice but to send you to resolve the issue.

You will be flying in your trusty Firefly, which uses the advanced system C.U.R.So.R to move and the LEFT-Cli.CK interface to shoot.

The anomaly is a mirror-type anomaly. It is the result of a fracture in space-time that causes a bubble where objects that enter will have a mirrored counterpart. Yes, this means that you will be fighting a mirror version of your self, one who will mimic your movements and firing pattern.

Luckily, due to certain fluctuations in the Bayesian temporal fields caused by the anomaly, the anomaly's projectiles travel slower than yours, giving you enough time to let your bullets tear through it and close the anomaly off.

Unfortunately, your regular bullets just won't cut it. Different planes of existence and all.

Not to worry, however! These anomalies tend to produce mass amounts of energy which are consolidated into plasma orbs. By breaking apart and collecting the energy from these orbs, you should be able to charge your weapons for a brief period of time which you can use to deal significant damage to the anomaly. The total amount of energy collected is displayed on the bottom of your screen as a cyan bar.

Ignoring the issue is not an option. The anomaly gets more unstable as time passes, and will release a deadly particle stream if it is allowed to destabilize. Its destabilization process is tracked via the red bar at the top of your screen. Fortunately,  by shooting you are able to force the mirror anomaly to discharge its energy and delay the destabilization process.  Be warned, however, as time goes on, the anomaly will destabilize faster and faster, so eliminating the threat as fast as possible is a top priority.

Good luck cadet! You're going to need it.

VERY fun game, I like how it forces me to play counter to my instincts when it comes to bullet hell shooters. Usually its best to constantly be moving, and flood the screen with projectiles, but sweeping against the mirror entity is a recipe for quick death! I found short bursts and dodging were more effective.

Cool art, banging sound track, great fx, and some narrative flavor in the description. My kind of game =D

Would definitely like to see this expanded on, thanks for sharing this was definitely worth a playthrough.

(Note: Windows version played, the WebGL version needs to be exported from Unity with compression disabled. The error reads: “Unable to parse Build/WebGL.framework.js.br! This can happen if build compression was enabled but web server hosting the content was misconfigured to not serve the file with HTTP Response Header “Content-Encoding: br” present. Check browser Console and Devtools Network tab to debug.”)

Oh so THAT'S why it doesn't work! I'll get that fixed.

Thanks for checking out my game and for the positive comment! It really means a lot to me!
